Hello
Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I am also a wife, mother, and active member of my community. Balancing family, work, and graduate school has strengthened my perspective on what growth and success mean to me. I value hard work, relationships, continuous learning, and creating opportunities to make a meaningful contribution—both professionally and personally.
My Story
I was born and raised in Victoria, Texas and like every good millennial, enjoyed a childhood of curiosity, play, and 'learning things the hard way'. My family traveled all over the country every summer, including lots of stops in Texas visiting family in Houston and San Antonio. I have an older sister who is still my partner in crime, mainly when we travel together and enjoy our passion for music. I grew up watching my grandmother excel as a Real Estate Broker in Galveston County- I'd help her deliver checks to title companies and install her signs. I never got to meet him, but my grandfather was a homebuilder throughout Texas. He built homes in Spring Branch, La Grange, Wharton, even down to Freeport and Surfside. After Hurricane Carla came through, his homes were the only ones left standing.
In the early 2000's, we moved to Houston where I eventually graduated high school. I then proceeded to earn my undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University in Business Administration. During my last semester of school, I had an internship with Sherwin-Williams and their Management Training Program. This is where my initial introduction to homebuilding started. I worked with Sales Reps who sold all of the paint to the builders and got to walk the sites and fell in love. I ended up as a New Home Sales Manager with Meritage Homes shortly after marrying my husband, Rick.
Rick and I have been married for 15 years and we have two beautiful children who keep us insanely busy. I left my career in new home sales to be a stay at home mom to Logan (13) and Lauren (10). When Logan was entering elementary school, a colleague reached out to me to help her in her real estate business by being a Transaction Coordinator for her team. This allowed me to ease back into the workforce while also staying at home with the kids. I inevitably joined several large and many boutique brokerages supporting up to 50 Realtors simultaneously. After about 6 years into this career path, I realized something was missing and I needed to pivot my career.
The timing was serendipitous because I ran into another old colleague who was also in the MLPD program at Texas A&M. He found himself at a similar impasse in his career and found purpose in land development. Long story short, I applied to the program, was accepted, and haven't looked back since. In January of 2026, I was hired by The Signorelli Company as their Land Closing Coordinator. What I was learning in class every week was running a fantastic parallel with what I was working on every day. I've since found a greater purpose for myself professionally and am so happy with where I've come. Needless to say, the future looks bright.
When I'm not studying or working on class projects, you will most likely find me on a baseball or softball field cheering on my kiddos. Lauren is also in an advanced children's choir where we get to see her perform for really cool events. I am also an avid reader and love diving into a good book. I have 2 cats, Astro and Tucker, who wish they could have all of my time for treats and pets. I really am looking forward to nurturing a healthy work-life balance where success begets success and happiness, whatever that looks like and wherever it takes me!
